Chesterplus 3B is a traditional pour and roll membrane which is normally installed as an immediate layer over suitable venting bases and finished with suitable Chesterfelt capping sheets. It features a glass fibre core which is saturated and coated in high quality bitumen.
When incorporated in a suitably designed and installed multi-layer system, maintained in accordance with BS 8217:2005 – Reinforced bitumen membranes for roofing, Chesterplus 3B will provide reliable performance.
To complete a full system, Chesterplus 3B is fitted above the venting layer and is overlayed with a suitable Chesterfelt capsheet membrane. When used as part of a multi-layer built up roofing system, it provides reliable waterproofing protection and is suitable for use on a wide range of buildings.
Chesterplus 3B is manufactured in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Chesterfelt Laser Gold Underlay features a glass fibre core and is designed to be used as part of a torch-applied built-up roofing system. It incorporates SBS modified bitumen and has a light sanded finish on the upper surface. Waterproofing is achieved by saturating and coating both surfaces in bitumen.
When incorporated in a suitably designed and installed multi-layer system, maintained in accordance with BS 8217:2005 – Reinforced bitumen membranes for roofing. Code of practice, Chesterfelt Laser Gold Underlay may be expected to last in excess of 20 years.
Chesterfelt Laser Gold Underlay is a torch-applied underlay. When used as part of a multi-layer built up roofing system, it provides long-lasting waterproofing performance and is readily suited to a range of roofs, including those with high insulation values where considerable thermal movement is likely to occur.
Chesterfelt Laser Gold Underlay is manufactured in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Laser Gold is a multi-layered bituminised waterproof system designed for use on various types of flat roofing projects including new build and refurbishments, cold roofs and warm roofs using vapour control layers with insulation. This range of membranes feature a polyester core which is saturated and coated in SBS bitumen and the upper surface is finished with a choice of either light sand or slate mineral.
When incorporated in a suitably designed and installed multi-layer system, maintained in accordance with BS 8217:2005 – Reinforced bitumen membranes for roofing, the Laser Gold system may be expected to last in excess of 20 years.
The Laser Gold sand surfaced membrane may be used both as an under layer and a cap sheet. Where used as a cap sheet, suitable protection from ultraviolet light is required in the form of either premium grade solar reflective paint or suitable walkway type tiles which are suitable for use over bituminous system. Laser Gold polyester membranes can be relied upon to react in unison when combined in multi-layer built up roofing systems. Such combinations are readily applicable to roofs with high insulation values where considerable thermal movement is likely to occur.
Laser Gold can be finished with a choice of coloured mineral slate, or alternatively with chippings, concrete or wooden slats allowing the building to blend in with its environment. A green roof option also promotes harmony between the building and its surrounding environment and improves the urban landscape.
The upper surface of certain Laser Gold membranes is protected using mineral granules, which are sourced from natural quarrying. The colours of the minerals therefore can sometimes vary depending on seam depths and extraction positions within the quarry. However, after the effects of the weathering and ageing, any variations will become less visible.

Universal Underlay is a torch-applied underlay membrane which is designed to be used as part of a torch-applied built-up roofing system. It features a glass fibre core which is saturated and coated in SBS modified bitumen and the upper surface is finished in light sand.
When incorporated in a suitably designed and installed multi-layer system, maintained in accordance with BS 8217:2005 – Reinforced bitumen membranes for roofing, Universal Underlay may be expected to last in excess of 15 years.
To complete a full system, Universal Underlay is fitted above the venting base sheet, or a suitable preparation layer, prior to the final waterproofing layer. When used as part of a multi-layer built up roofing system, it provides long-lasting waterproofing performance and is readily suited to various types of flat roofing projects, including new build and refurbishments, cold roofs and warm roofs using vapour control layers with insulation.
